Members of the Filipino-Chinese community and the City of Dumaguete joined yesterday’s wordwide celebration of the Chinese New Year with a parade that culminated in a grand showcase of talents at the Pantawan People’s Park.
Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo paid tribute to the contributions of the Filipino-Chinese community in the growth and prosperity of Dumaguete City with a fervent wish that the Year of the Water Rabbit would usher in more successes.
Students from Holy Cross High School and Dumaguete Agape Chinese Christian Academy enthusiastically participated in various performances of traditional Chinese dances and songs that highlight the rich culture and heritage of our very own Filipino-Chinese community.
