Mayor Felipe Antonio B. Remollo led local officials and citizens in paying tribute to the life and work of the late City Councilor Dr. Noel C. De Jesus during the necrological service held at the SP session hall today.
Praised for being a dedicated and honest public servant, former Councilor De Jesus has authored numerous ordinances and resolutions that improved the local public health care system, promoted the cooperative movement and set a fine example of integrity in government service.
Mayor Remollo, Vice-Mayor Ma. Isabel Sagarbarria, former City Councilor Samuel Dicen, Provincial Board Member Woodrow S. Maquiling, former Board Member Nilo Sayson and Councilor Franklin D. Esmeña Jr. spoke in memory of Dr. De Jesus as his former colleagues in the service and as his friends.
In his message of sympathy, Mayor Remollo remembers the late Dr. De Jesus as a tireless, conscientious and responsible fiscalizer in the City Council with plenty of progressive and impressive ideas with the end goal of improving the delivery of basic social services to the people.
Vice-Mayor Sagarbarria, also offered her words of sympathy and presented the resolution from the Sangguniang Panlungsod expressing condolences and offering sympathy to the bereaved family of Dr. Noel De Jesus, a former councilor of Dumaguete City who passed on January 9, 2023. Councilor Agustin Miguel Perdices was also present at the service.
The family of the late Dr. De Jesus expresses its gratitude for the kind words and sincere support shown by officials of the City Government of Dumaguete and the citizens, which give his loved ones comfort in their hour of grief.
Funeral service for the late Dr. De Jesus will be held on January 15, 2023 (Sunday) at 1:30PM, UCCP City Church, Silliman Avenue Extension to be followed by burial rites at the Gardens Memorial Park in Barangay Cadawinonan.
