Officials and essential personnel of LGU Dumaguete undergo workshop on how to ensure continuous delivery of quality public services even during an emergency or a disaster.
Mayor Felipe Antonio B. Remollo directed certain members of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council and concerned personnel to participate in the 6-day Public Service Continuity Planning workshop that started yesterday to prepare a plan that will help ensure uninterrupted ability to provide services and support to people and agencies before, during and after a disaster.
Now on its 2nd day, this workshop is consistent with the objective of the Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2010 (Republic Act No. 10121) that underscores the need for coordinated action on disaster risk reduction and the whole-of-society investments on resilience.
Participants to the PSCP course need to accomplish pre-test, self-paced learning modules, assignments, video teleconferencing sessions, break-out sessions (workshops), post-test and training evaluation administered by trainers and facilitators from the Office of Civil Defense.
