Dumaguete City received 3 awards and distinctions during the 2022 Local Health Systems Awarding Ceremony by the Central Visayas for Health Development of the Department of Health that were received by City Health Officer Dr. Sarah B. Talla (representing Mayor Felipe Antonio B. Remollo, DOH Negros Oriental Jennifer Remollo and CHO Nurse Vanessa Campoy in Cebu City yesterday.
Among the awards received by Dumaguete City from DOH Central Visayas for Health Development Regional Director Jaime S. Bernadas, Chief Local Support Division of DOH-7 Dr. Jonathan Neil V. Erasmo and Dr. Sophia Mancao are:
1. Dumaguete City, Top Performing LGU on Increased LGU Budget Allocated to Health
2. Dumaguete City, 1st Place for Local Government Unit with Highest Coverage of COVID-19 vaccination for General Population Category
3. Dumaguete City, 2nd Place for Local Government Unit with Highest Coverage of COVID-19 vaccination for A2 Priority Group Senior Citizens Category
Mayor Remollo commends City Health Officer Dr. Talla, CHO Personnel and the supporting agencies for their dedication to service and accomplishments that helped in the delivery of quality health care services for the people of the City.
DOH Region-7 Director Bernadas said that the awards received by Dumaguete City government are in grateful recognition of the unrelenting support and commitment towards boosting Universal Health Care.
