Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo has approved the implementation of this year’s Pamaskong Handog at P 500.00 each for 34, 200 indigent families, senior citizens and PWDs this December 2022.
The City Government has allocated a total of P 17.1 million to benefit the 34, 200 identified beneficiaries from the 30 component barangays.
City Social Welfare and Development Officer Lilibeth A. Filipinas urged the representatives of indigent families, senior citizens (pensioner or non-pensioner) and PWDs are encouraged to submit all the requirements on or before the deadline set by their respective Barangay Captains to allow authorities to verify and finalize the list/payroll of recipients on time.
CSWDO has also provided the criteria and guidelines for the Pamaskong Handog 2022, as follows:
FOR SENIOR CITIZENS
1. All seniors who are residents of the City of Dumaguete, aged 60 years old and above with Senior Citizen ID, pensioner or non-pensioner are qualified to receive the cash gift.
2. Couples who are both senior citizens can submit a photocopy (clear copy) of their Senior Citizen ID of Dumaguete City, with middle name.
3. Senior citizen couples who are still connected with government and private institutions and elected barangay officials are not qualified to receive the cash gift for the reason that they are still receiving/earning a monthly income.
4. Registered voters of the City of Dumaguete who are not residing in the city are not qualified for the cash gift.
5. Qualified Senior Citizen who passed away on or before the distribution of cash gift will not be released to the surviving family.
FOR INDIGENTS
1. Only indigent families who are registered voters and bonafide residents of the City of Dumaguete are qualified to receive the cash gift.
2. Only ONE member per family is qualified to submit his/her clear photocopy of their Voter’s Certificate of voter’s ID.
3. For couples who are not married, only ONE is allowed to submit a clear photocopy of Voter’s certificate or voter’s ID.
4. Registered voters of the City of Dumaguete who are not residing in the City are not qualified for the cash gift.
5. Except barangay tanods, government employees (regular, Casual and Job Order) and barangay officials and their spouses are not qualified to receive the cash gift.
FOR PWDS
1. All PWDS with ID are beneficiaries of the cash gift.
2. PWD beneficiaries must be registered voters and residents of Dumaguete City.
3. Registered voters of the City of Dumaguete who are not residing in the city are not qualified for the cash gift.
IMPORTANT:
1. Submission of photocopy of valid ID should be on or before November 15, 2022.
2. Please include the middle name of recipients
3. Priority is given to senior citizen and PWD and they are excluded in the slots allotted for indigent families.
