Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo commends all the stakeholders, local officials, employees and the citizens of the city for their work and cooperation that were decisive in winning the latest award of Dumaguete City as the Most Improved (Rank 1) Component City in the Philippines for 2022 during the 10th Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI) held yesterday at the Philippine International Convention Center.
This award is in recognition of the significant improvements in infrastructure, resiliency, innovation, economic dynamism and government efficiency, Dumaguete City has been awarded as the Most Improved (Rank 1) Component City in the Philippines for 2022.
But the work continues and Mayor Remollo appeals for government agencies, private institutions, officials and residents to maintain their healthy collaboration and cooperation with the City Government of Dumaguete for joint programs and projects that will benefit the people.
The Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI) is an annual ranking of the 1,634 Philippine cities and municipalities based on data which will be used to measure their performance in the 5 pillars.
This year’s summit is held with the theme “A Decade of Excellence: Championing Innovation to Sustain Competitiveness.”
