The Provincial Highway Patrol Group led by Officer-in-Charge PCMS Aurelio Bodo and his staff recently paid a courtesy call on Mayor Felipe Antonio B. Remollo to discuss the possibility of putting up its office building within the E.C. Ouano Sr. Complex Government Center in Barangay Bajumpandan.
It is deemed strategic to establish the proposed office of the Provincial Highway Patrol Group inside the government center as it is located adjacent to the Metro-Dumaguete Diversion road that connects Sibulan up north, Valencia to the West and Bacong down south.
Once the Provincial HPG will be granted authority to use a portion of the city-owned lot, it is expected that funding for the construction of its office building with adequate facilities will be allocated by the national headquarters.
A number of government agencies have already started to construct their own offices while more have expressed intention to build inside the E.C. Ouano Sr. Complex Government Center in Barangay Bajumpandan in accordance with the objective to decongest the city proper and offer more space and comfort to the employees and transacting public.
