The local government of Dumaguete formally launches today the Integrated Business Permit and Licensing System (iBPLS) with key officials of the Department of Information and Communications Technology, Department of Trade and Industry and other partner agencies.
Mayor Felipe Antonio B. Remollo approved the Implementation of iBPLS to streamline government transactions, reduce red tape, eliminate malfeasance, improve ease of doing business and attract more investments.
City Treasurer Cristina Merced lauded Mayor Remollo, City Administrator Lilani Ramon, Councilor Karissa Tolentino-Maxino, Deputy Mayor for Finance, for their consistent support for the full implementation of iBPLS and a functioning Electronic Business One Stop Shop, which were all realized under the current administration.
Meanwhile, City Administrator Ramon also expressed gratitude for the technical assistance provided by the DICT to encourage constituents to follow a simple and automated procedure in the application and issuance of valid permits or licenses.
Among the guests present during today’s launching of IBPLS and blessing of the Business One Stop Shop are Director Jose Carlos P. Reyes of the Government Digital Transformation Burea, DICT Regio 7 Director Frederick DC. Amores, iBPLS Project Manager Delia E. Basada of DICT and Rachel Ann P. Grabador of DTPMT.
