The newly-assumed Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office Director P/Col. Jonathan Pineda, who served as former chief-of-police of Dumaguete City from 2017-2019, pays a courtesy call on Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo yesterday to discuss ways and means to further enhance the maintenance of the peace and order situation of the province of the capital city of Dumaguete City.
City Chief-of-Police Lt. Col. Joeson Parallag, City Administrator Lilani Ramon, City Councilor Karissa Tolentino-Maxino and City Budget Office Antonieta General also conversed about the measures that will be adopted to ensure the safe conduct of the different activities of the upcoming Buglasan Festival that will be held at the Panatwan People’s Park in Rizal Boulevard.
Thousands of guests from different cities and municipalities, including foreign tourists, are expected to join the weeklong celebration Buglasan Festival that requires an elaborate security plan in coordination with City Councilor Rey Lyndon Lawas, Deputy Mayor for Peace and Order, for the efficient and safe conduct of the festivities.
