Officers of the different associations of senior citizens in all 30 barangays gathered today for the general assembly of the Federation of Senior Citizens Associations of the Philippines (FSCAP) at the Barangay Daro Covered Court.
On behalf of Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Councilor Karissa Tolentino-Maxino, Deputy Mayor for Women, Children, Family Life and Special Needs Group and Councilor Rey Lyndon Lawas, Deputy Mayor for Peace and Order spoke before the gathered leaders representing thousands of senior citizens in Dumaguete City to assure them of the local government’s continued and sustained support to protect their rights and interests.
Among the matters discussed during the assembly presided by its President George Villamor are the proposed activities for Calendar Year 2023, creation of adhoc committees, provisions of the National FSCAP Incorporated and other matters.
FSCAP works in close coordination with the Office of Senior Citizens Affairs and the Office of Mayor Remollo to implement programs, projects and activities that will promote and protect the rights and welfare of the elderly sector in the city.
