Students, faculty, alumni and management of Foundation University gathered at the Pantawan People’s Park last Friday to celebrate the return of one of the institution’s most cherished traditions after 2 years of hiatus.
Dal-uy, a festival of hope adopted from the Japanese tradition, is celebrated annually with the participants sending lanterns bearing messages of hope, dreams, prayers and aspirations afloat in the sea to usher in blessings for the beginning of a new academic year.
Mayor Felipe Antonio B. Remollo expresses his warmest greetings to the Foundation University community and joins them in prayer for a successful and prosperous academic year 2022-2023.
In keeping with the rules, all lanterns and their wooden platforms were collected by the assigned personnel at the conclusion of the event to be recycled next year.
