As part of the opening salvo of the Family Week, everyone is invited to join the Family Fun Run and Healthy Dancing on Sunday (September 25) 6:00AM at the Pantawan People’s Park Rizal Boulevard with cash prizes at stake for the participants.
The theme of this year’s celebration of Family Week is “Urbanisasyon at Pamilyang Pilipino: Magka-agapay sa Pagpapatibay at Pagpapaunlad ng Bansa” with the full support of the City Government of Dumaguete, Mayor Felipe Antonio B. Remollo, various civil society groups and religious organizations.
Among the activities also lined-up for the weeklong celebration are:
Kapihan sa PIA at Bethel Guest House and Ecumenical Service at the Church of the Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on September 26, 2022; Poster Making Contest (Junior High School Category) on September 27, 2022 at Deped Dumaguete; Family Dialogue between parents and children on September 28, 2022 at the Church of the Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints; Skills Training on September 29, 2022 at OSCA Office; Medical Clinic on September 30, 2022 at Tinago Covered Court and Evaluation Culmination Program on September 30, 2022.
Those interested can register from September 1 to 21, 2022 at the City Social Welfare and Development Office.

FAMILY FUN RUN RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. A family should consist of a parent and a child / children.
2. Family with children ages 12 YEARS OLD and ABOVE should register in the 5K Category.
3. Family with children BELOW 12 yrs. OLD should register in the 3K Category.
4. Race Sash must be worn at all times during the race.
5. The whole family should finish together.
6. The organizers decision is final.
HEALTHY DANCING RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. The contest is open to all immediate and extended Families residing within Dumaguete City.
2. The Families should compose of at least 5 members and not more than 10 members.
3. Music to be played should not exceed 5 minutes.
4. Dancers should wear appropriate zumba attire during the contest proper.
Too revealing attire not acceptable.
5. Judging is based on a set of criteria. Decision of the judges is Final.
