The City Government of Dumaguete joins the entire nation in celebrating the 122nd Philippine Civil Service Anniversary with an opening salvo keynoted by CSC Chairperson Karlo Alexei B. Nograles during the traditional Monday flag raising ceremony on September 5, 2022.
Despite the intermittent rains, Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo and Vice-Mayor Ma. Isabel Sagarbarria led over a thousand government officials and employees who pledged to sincerely serve the public with integrity and competence despite the challenges of the times.
Also present during the opening salvo are CSC Region 7 Director IV Carlos A. Evangelista, CSC Negros Oriental and Siqujior Provincial Director Merlinda Flores-Quillano, Councilor Karissa Tolentino-Maxino, Councilor Agustin Miguel Perdices, Councilor Bernice Anne Elmaco, Councilor Rey Lyndon Lawas, Councilor Jose Victor Imbo, City Administrator Lilani L. Ramon, J.D., City Human Resource Management Officer Dr. Dinno T. Depositario, J.D., Liga ng mga Barangay President Dionie D. Amores and SK President Renz Macion.
The Civil Service Commission introduced last year a 10-year overarching theme “Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade: Honing Agile and Future-Ready Servant-Heroes.”
This year, the thematic focus is on resilience, which is part of building smart organizations and a future ready civil service.
