The Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) convened for its 2nd quarterly meeting yesterday to discuss updates of the 5-year development plan for children that will focus on their survival, development, protection and participation.
Among the officials present during the meeting were City Administrator Lilani L. Ramon, JD; Councilor Karissa Tolentino-Maxino, Deputy Mayor for Concerns on Children; City Social Welfare and Development Officer; Councilor Maria Marife Cordova; City Chief-of-Police P/Lt. Col. Joeson Parallag and heads/representatives of other concerned agencies.
Also presented were the LCPC activities for the current year 2022, the results of the 2021 evaluation by the Department of Interior and Local Government and other matters including the rounding up of Badjaos and Indigenous People from the city streets at night.
