Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo and other delegates visited the farms in our sister city of Yeongdong-gun South Korea, where residents of Dumaguete City are assigned to work to check on their working conditions and meet with the owners.
Among the agricultural workers who met with Mayor Remollo and other city officials are Jason Cuizon, Marjulie Galero and Rodelyn Calbog, who shared their good treatment and relations with the farm owners.
The Dumaguete workers expressed their appreciation to Mayor Remollo and his LUPAD administration for trying to find more decent job opportunities for the citizens here and abroad.
Next year about 100 agricultural workers are needed in South Korea.
The seasonal workers earn between P 75,000 to P 95, 000/ monthly to include overtime for the 3-5 months of work in Yeongdong-gun South Korea.
