Studies show that Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) are the world’s number 1 killers, accounting for 60% of deaths globally and seen as the biggest threat to women’s health globally.
Among the top NCD that cause premature deaths include cardiovascular diseases, cancers, respiratory diseases and diabetes.
Smoking, idleness (physical inactivity), alcoholism, unhealthy diet and stress increase the risk of NCD.
The speakers assert that these Non-Communicable Diseases can be prevented or in some cases reversed through healthy lifestyle choices focusing on the right diet, physical exercises and stress reduction.
