Four senior citizens (3 of them in their 70s) are among the 16 new COVID-19 cases confirmed by the City Health Office along with 9 new recoveries, Saturday.
Of the 16 new cases: 4 are senior citizens, 3 are minors, a hospital staff, 2 newly discharged patients and 6 close contacts that are symptomatic.
Meanwhile, [9] COVID patients, who are residents of Barangays Buñao [2], Calindagan [2], Cantil-e [2], Candau-ay [1], Bantayan [1] and Taclobo [1] are the latest recoveries reported today.
There are now 29 active COVID-19 cases with 5, 747 recoveries and 166 deaths since the pandemic affected the city from January 30, 2020 to the present July 30, 2022.
Per DOH guidelines, those who tested positive of COVID-19 who are fully vaccinated will be released from isolation and considered recovered 7 days after the first manifestation of symptoms and no longer symptomatic.
