The City Health Office confirms the recovery of 10 COVID-19 patients but 9 new cases were also reported Wednesday.
Hence, there are now 16 active COVID-19 cases with 5, 732 recoveries and 166 deaths since the pandemic affected the city from January 30, 2020 to the present July 27, 2022.
The 9 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases include 3 health workers, 3 senior citizens, a 36-year-old female who was swabbed before surgery and 2 residents who are symptomatic.
Of the 9 new cases, all except the 80-year-old grandfather are fully vaccinated.
Meanwhile, among the 10 COVID-19 patients who recovered on Wednesday are 3 senior citizens, 2 children, a health practitioner, a court employee, a BPO worker and close contacts of previous cases,
Per guidelines, those who tested positive of COVID-19 who are fully vaccinated will be released from isolation and considered recovered 7 days after the first manifestation of symptoms and no longer symptomatic.
