Five of the 11 new COVID-19 cases confirmed today by the City Health Office are children, between the ages of 3-years-old to 16-years-old.
Seven (7) of the new cases are fully vaccinated that include a college instructor with travel history to Cebu City, a BPO agent, a plumber, a private employee and a worker of the judiciary.
All 11 new cases are on home quarantine and closely monitored by the health workers.
There are now 21 active COVID-19 cases with 5, 694 recoveries and 166 deaths since the pandemic affected the city from January 30, 2020 to the present July 21, 2022.
Among the barangays with active COVID-19 cases are Bagacay [6], Banilad [3], Batinguel [1], Buñao [1], Calindagan [4], Cantil-e [1], Daro [2], Looc [1], Piapi [1] and Taclobo [1].
Meanwhile, an 18-year-old student was the lone COVID-19 recover reported today.
