Twenty-six (26) of the city’s 30 barangays have reported zero active COVID-19 cases as confirmed by the City Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.
Only 4 barangays are monitoring 5 active cases, 3 of them were confirmed today: Junob (1), Piapi (2), Pulantubig (1) and Taclobo (1).
The 3 new cases reported just today are symptomatic but fully vaccinated and include a 23-year-old maintenance worker, a 12-year-old child confined at the hospital and a 48-year-old male resident.
Meanwhile, 5 COVID-19 patients have recovered also today that included a couple, a businessman and 2 BPO workers.
Per guidelines, those who tested positive of COVID-19 who are fully vaccinated will be released from isolation and considered recovered 7 days after the first manifestation of symptoms and no longer symptomatic.
There are now 5 active cases with 5, 673 recoveries and 166 deaths since the pandemic affected the city from January 30, 2020 to the present July 11, 2022.
