Yesterday’s oath taking ceremony of the newly-elected officials at the Presidencia grounds brought together government workers, civic leaders, friends and families to celebrate the swearing in of Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Vice-Mayor Maria Isabel Sagarbarria, Councilor Karissa Tolentino-Maxino, Councilor Rey Lyndon T. Lawas and Councilor Franklin D. Esmeña Jr. for the term 2022-2025.
The event was also a celebration of the gains and an affirmation of the sustained vision to build a better and progressive Dumaguete that is inclusive and proud of its heritage.
Second District Representative Manuel T. Sagarbarria, Sangguniang Panlalawigan member Manuel “Chaco” Sagarbarria and Sangguniang Panlalawigan member Woodrow S. Maquiling Sr. also took their oath office together with the city officials in a show of unity of purpose and a pledge to work sincerely together for the betterment of the constituents in the district where Dumaguete City belongs.
Supreme Court Associate Justice Ricardo R. Rosario and Court of Appeals Associate Justice Mary Charlene Hernandez-Azura administered the oath of office of the newly or re-elected officials while invoking the aid and blessings of God Almighty.
