City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla confirms the recovery from COVID-19 of the 24-year-old student yesterday who had a history of travel to Dapitan and Dipolog.
However, 3 new COVID-19 cases were reported today to include a 29-year-old resident of Barangay Banilad who was hospitalized due to epigastric pain and fever; an OFW who was swabbed for travel purposes and a 58-year-old government employee.
Except for the hospitalized patient, who is fully vaccinated; the 2 other cases, fully vaccinated and boosted, are quarantined at home.
Likewise, all their close contacts are fully vaccinated, asymptomatic and quarantined.
Thus, the total active COVID-19 cases has risen to 4 with 5, 644 recoveries and 166 deaths since the pandemic affected Dumaguete City from January 30, 2020 to June 22, 2022.
