Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo hosted a welcome dinner, Tuesday, for the officials from the Department of Education, tournament officials and delegates from the 10 participating public and private high schools across Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao to the National Invitational Volleyball Competition.
The mayor’s night is traditionally held to allow local officials to welcome and meet the guests on behalf of the City Government for introductions, socials and showcase the best of the host city, including local talents, before the national event commences.
The National Invitational Volleyball Competition is being held to identify and select the finest and most prepared volleyball players among the secondary school student-athletes across the country, who will form part of the Philippine delegation and compete during the ASEAN Schools Games to be held also in Dumaguete City this November 2022.
Among the local officials present, aside from Mayor Remollo, were Vice-Mayor Karissa Tolentino-Maxino, Councilors Edgar Lentorio, Liga ng mga Punong Barangay Dionie Amores and Assistant City Administrator Dinno T. Depositario.
