Members of the Dumaguete City Volleyball Team (Boys) pay a courtesy call on Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo who reiterated his full support as they compete in next week’s National Invitational Volleyball Competition participated by the top 10 private and public high schools from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
Among the participating schools that will compete in next week’s tournament from May 25-27, 2022 at the Foundation Preparatory Academy Yellow Court in Dumaguete City are: Davao National High School, National University, Living Stone International School, Umingan High School, Leyte National High School, Kings Montessori of Quezon City, Bacolod Taytung High School, California Academy, Region 7-Dumaguete City and Sta. Rosa City Division.
Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo and City Schools Division Superintendent Gregorio Cyrus Elejorde are coordinating closely to deploy the necessary manpower, logistics and security to ensure the success of the event, which is part of the simulation exercises for the upcoming hosting of the Association of Southeast Asian Games Schools Games in Dumaguete City this November.
Sangguniang Kabataan Federation President Renz Macion, Chairperson of the Committee on Youth and Sports Development, also manifested his support to the Dumaguete City Volleyball Team, which is composed of 12 of the best players from different schools, 4 trainers, 1 head coach, 1 assistant coach and 1 team manager.
Tickets to watch the games are free and available at the Deped City Schools Division Office in Barangay Taclobo. But in keeping with the minimum health standards against COVID-19, only a maximum of 200 spectators will be allowed in the designated area of the playing venue.
