Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo and Vice-Mayor Karissa Tolentino-Maxino manifested their support to the 2 softball teams representing Dumaguete City that will compete in the 2022 Little League Philippine Series in Bago City from May 15-23, 2022.
The Dumaguete softbelles, who are among the best players from the different schools and clubs, will be competing in the Junior League (12 to 14 years old) and Senior League (13 to 16 years old) age divisions.
This year’s Little League Philippine Series is the largest baseball and softball tournament in the country today with over 1, 500 boys and girls from ages 8-15 competing for the right to represent the country in the Asia-Pacific Regional Tournament to be held in July.
The coaching staff of the Senior League Division includes Maila Devero, Neil Umbac and Diomaylah Galera while the Junior League Division is composed of Cherry Mae F. Melon, Noel Sison, Ernesto Alabastro and Diogie Ensertado.
Also included in the delegation are City Sports Youth and Development Officer Ike Xavier S. Villaflores, Reynald Patula, Jorge B. Villaflores and Edliberto Amor III of the City Mayor’s Office.
