Twenty-nine (29) establishments, transportation companies and individuals that helped the City Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Infectious Diseases in controlling the spread of COVID-19 were given due recognition by the City Government and the City Tourism Office yesterday.
Mayor Felipe Antonio B. Remollo paid tribute to the cooperation and active participation of the COVID-19 frontliners and service providers to prevent the spread of the virus in the community by enforcing the health protocols, isolation and quarantine rules and travel requirements, which resulted in the attainment of zero active cases and the downgrading of our status from Alert Level 2 to Alert Level 1.
City Tourism Officer Jacqueline V. Antonio said that the Local Government of Dumaguete through Resolution No. 103 of the Sangguniang Panglungsod recognizes 29 accommodation establishments, travel services, and individuals in the tourism sector who best responded to the LGU’s call for logistics help in the midst of the COVID-19 lockdown in Dumaguete.
Among those recognized, particularly in the tourism sector are the representatives and managements of C & L Bayview Inn, C & L Suites Inn, Grand Pension House, One Bethany Place, Southview Hotel, Bethel Guest House, Bricks Hotel, Florentina Homes, RM Guest House, Dumaguete Royal Suite Inn, Rovira Suites, Hotel Essencia, La Casona Hotel, Crisfil’s Lodge, Optimum Pension House, Aberisse Pension Hotel, Dino Residences, Sulit Budget Hotel, Casa Rubin, Moriah Pension Inn, Quantum Dlux Tours Services, Vallacar Transit Incorporated, Maayo Shipping Incorporated, Phillipine Airlines, Royhle Air Way Charter Incorporated, TS Tours Services, Mr. Miben Lordito D. Deguit, Ms. Amy B. Miro and Ms. Maria Lalaine R. Ponla.

Now that Dumaguete City is under Alert Level 1, more activities and events are allowed, face-to-face classes have returned and the local economy is gradually recovering.
