The City Health Office reports that some 181, 200 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have already been administered to 87, 743 eligible residents using Sinovac, Astrazeneca, Moderna, Sinopharm, Pfizer and the single dose Janssen jabs as of April 28, 2022.
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla also disclosed that 109 individuals received their COVID-19 jabs in the vaccination sites at Foundation University Gymnasium and Robinson Place including those who returned to get their 2nd doses Wednesday.
Eighty-five thousand three hundred fifty (85, 350) residents are fully vaccinated while 9, 906 have received their booster shots.
Adult walk-in clients can now get their booster shots (Moderna) or 1st dose (Sinovac) at the City Health Office-Main or at the newly inaugurated City Health Office 2 in Barangay Talay, whichever is closer to your residence or work site, starting May 2, 2022.
Meanwhile, vaccination for healthy children aged 5-11 years-old (every Monday-Wednesday and Friday) while for those aged 12-17 (every Tuesday and Thursday) using Pfizer will still be at the Robinson Place Dumaguete.
All vaccination sites: City Health Office-Main, City Health Office 2 and Robinson Place Dumaguete will be open Monday-Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM except on holidays.
Dumaguete City, obtained the highest vaccination rate of 141.56% in Central Visayas exceeding the 80.67% goal for herd immunity set by the Department of Health after the City Health Office, Provincial Health Office and hospitals vaccinated 157, 619 residents and workers, which is much higher than the target of 111, 348 individuals.
