Department of Budget and Management Assistant Secretary Achilles Gerard C. Bravo and his staff paid a courtesy call on Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Wednesday, to discuss projects and programs that DBM could possibly provide technical assistance and sources of funds to benefit the people of Dumaguete City.
Vice-Mayor Karissa Tolentino-Maxino and Councilor Michael Bandal also joined the meeting and tackled the possible establishment of a 100-bed national hospital through legislation for inclusion in the annual national budget for its construction and hiring of personnel.
Mayor Remollo expressed interest in pursuing the proposed national hospital project in addition to the soon-to-be inaugurated satellite hospital in Barangay Talay and construction of the Super Family Clinic in Barangay Bajumpandan with the Department of Health in line with the administration’s objective to provide more quality health care services for residents.
