Registration and renewal of business permits will now be done online for thousands of entrepreneurs in the City of Dumaguete with the recent launching and operation of the eBusiness Permit and Licensing System (eBPLS).
Mayor Felipe Antonio B. Remollo has approved the implementation of eBPLS to streamline government transactions, reduce red tape, eliminate malfeasance, improve the ease of doing business and attract more investments.
Dumaguete City’s eBPLS is a web-based, paperless and simplified system with enough security features that will not require physical presence of the applicant or his representatives in processing the business permits but comprehensive, accurate and accessible enough so that all deficiencies will be noted and prompt correction of both the agency or applicant concerned will be facilitated.
Applicants for business permits and licenses are advised to follow these steps:
1. Log-on to www.dumaguetecity.gov.ph click the eBPLS logo or prod5.ebpls.com/dumaguetenegrosoriental/index.php/login and click REGISTER NOW icon to create an account, fill in all information and upload all required documents before pressing SUBMIT icon
2. Pay the tax obligation before the City Treasurer’s Office
3. Claim business permit or license before the City Administrator’s Office and present all hard copies of the uploaded documents for verification
Before registering online, please secure tax clearance, community taxes, barangay clearance and active email address, scan the documents and upload them.
Online payment will be available once the ordinance will be duly approved by the Sangguniang Panlungsod and the Office of the Mayor.
The eBPLS is a joint project of the City Government of Dumaguete and Department of Information and Communications Technology.
