Taking into consideration the declining COVID-19 active cases and high vaccination rate at 144% of the target population for herd immunity, Mayor Felipe Antonio B. Remollo issued Executive Order No. 4 dated March 2, 2022 extending the curfew for business establishments and bars up to midnight while establishments offering essential services are allowed to operate 24-hours.
E.O. 4, Section 4: The City Government of Dumaguete shall have curfew hours starting from 12:00 o’clock midnight until 4:00 o’clock in the morning the following day.
Minors below 18-years-old shall be regulated by the existing City Ordinance No. 115, series of 2006 on curfew, which shall be from 10:00 o’clock in the evening until 4:00 o’clock in the morning of the following day.
Establishments/bars engaged in serving food and alcoholic beverages shall operate only until 12:00 o’clock midnight.
Provided that, they shall regulate the following (a) management and staff shall be fully vaccinated, and (b) Admission of indoor customers shall be strictly fully vaccinated.
For outdoor (al fresco) dining, 100% venue capacity is allowed.
Provided that, establishment staff and staff are fully vaccinated.
Establishments with open live band entertainment, their entertainment shall end at 10:00PM pursuant to existing city ordinance No. 35 series of 2002 as amended by City Ordinance No. 80 series of 2003.
Their live band entertainment with after-care services shall have no extension of one [1] hour from the start of the curfew. However, their food services may extend until 12:00 o’clock midnight.
Establishments engaged in essential services, such as but not limited to convenience stores, 24/7 restaurants, pharmacies and others may operate 24 hours a day, provided that, their staff and admission of customers are fully vaccinated.
The adjustments of the curfew hours were made by Mayor Remollo after consultations with the members of the Executive Committee of the City Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.
Dumaguete City shall also adopt and implement the Guidelines on the Nationwide Implementation of Alert Level System for COVID-19 Response specifically Section 5 (Guidelines for Areas Under Alert Level 2).
