Twenty-four [24] of the city’s 30 barangays have reported zero active COVID-19 cases as confirmed by the City Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.
There are now 7 active cases [1 is in home isolation, 5 are confined in the hospitals and 1 is outside of Dumaguete City] with 5, 612 recoveries and 164 deaths since the pandemic affected the city from January 30, 2020 to the present March 2, 2022.
The 6 barangays with active COVID-19 cases are Daro [1], Mangnao [1], Motong [2], Poblacion 6 [1], Poblacion 7 [1] and Talay [1].
A fully vaccinated resident who had to be rushed to a hospital and subsequently tested positive of COVID-19, is the lone case confirmed today.
Meanwhile, a fully vaccinated resident of Barangay Daro was released from isolation after recovering from coronavirus.
