About 5, 781 children between the ages 5-17 years old have already been vaccinated against COVID-19 and are among the 79, 224 eligible residents or 82.4% of the target population of 96, 049 (per DILG/DOH estimate) as of February 22, 2022.
Of the 5, 871 children who were vaccinated, 513 are between the ages 5-11 years-old, 4, 376 belong to 12-17 years-old and 982 are children with comorbidities.
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla also informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City IATF MEID, that among the vaccinated residents are 79, 059 who got at least their 1st dose and the 1, 799 who were vaccinated using the single dose Janssen jabs for a total of 79, 224 residents.
About 8, 349 residents have also received their booster shots, which is among the 166, 632 doses of Sinovac, Astrazeneca, Moderna, Sinopharm, Pfizer and the single dose Janssen jabs administered by the personnel of the City Health Office.
