The City Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Infectious Diseases confirmed that for the 2nd consecutive day, no new COVID-19 cases were reported by the City Health Office, including from the 5 hospitals, Tuesday.
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla Dr. Talla also informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo that 4 COVID-19 patients have recovered and will be released from isolation.
Thus, the number of active COVID-19 cases dropped to 14 with 5, 592 recoveries and 164 deaths since the city was affected by the pandemic from January 30, 2020 to February 21, 2022.
A 3-year-old child and 3 fully vaccinated residents of Barangays Batinguel, Camanjac and Daro are among those who recovered from COVID-19 today.
Of the 14 remaining active COVID-19 cases, 9 are senior citizens (a 101-year-old grandmother is the oldest), a child and 4 persons with comorbidities. Ten (10) of the cases are hospitalized and 4 are handled by the City Health Office.
