City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla confirms that no new COVID-19 positive case was reported today.
However, 3 new COVID-related deaths were confirmed, which included 2 senior citizens with comorbidities and a patient afflicted with diabetes and cardiomegaly.
Meanwhile, 13 COVID-19 patients, who are residents of Barangays Balugo [1], Banilad [1], Bantayan [2], Buñao [4], Daro [2], Junob [2] and Talay [1], have recovered also today.
There are 18 active COVID-19 cases with 5, 588 recoveries and 164 deaths since the city was affected by the pandemic from January 30, 2020 to February 21, 2022.
Among the newly recovered COVID patients are 4 senior citizens (an 88-year-old grandfather being the oldest), 3 minors, a health worker and 5 others persons who are fully vaccinated.
Of the 18 active COVID cases, 7 cases are monitored and handled by the personnel of the City Health Office while 11 cases are confined in the hospitals.
