The number of active cases has dropped, following the recoveries of 14 patients who were released from isolation.
However, the City Health Office also confirmed 4 new COVID-19 cases including 2 health workers, an 88-year-old unvaccinated individual and a 28-year-old person with symptoms of Influenza Like Illness.
With this development, the number of active COVID-19 cases dropped to 33 with 5, 529 recoveries and 160 deaths since the pandemic affected Dumaguete City from January 30, 2020 to February 14, 2022.
The most recent recoveries are residents of Barangays Pulantubig [4], Piapi [2], Daro [2], Bantayan [1], Cadawinonan [1], Junob [1], Poblacion 3 [1], Poblacion 7 [1] and Taclobo [1].
Among the 4 recoveries are senior citizens (an 85-year-old being the oldest), a 5-month child and 4 health workers.
Of the 33 active COVID cases, 18 are monitored and handled by the personnel of the City Health Office and 15 are admitted in the hospitals.
