Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo conducted today an ocular visit to check on the progress of the ongoing construction a satellite hospital in the City Farmstead in Barangay Talay that will serve the medical needs of the residents in the upper barangays of Talay, Junob, Balugo, Batinguel, Candau-ay, Cadawinonan, Camanjac Cantil-e and Bajumpandan.
Once completed Mayor Remollo will be assigning doctors, midwives, nurses and other health workers as well as procure the necessary equipment to make this latest health facility operational with the support of the Department of Health in bringing medical services closer to the people.
The construction of the satellite hospital is expected to be finished within a few weeks.
Officials of the Senior Citizens Federation, OSCA, City Adviser for Concerns on Security, Emergency Preparedness, Management and Response Retired Police Brigadier General Rey Lyndon Lawas, City DRRM Officer Allen Froilan Cabaron II and Federation of Senior Citizens Association of the Philippines Dumaguete City Chapter led by George Villamor accompanied Mayor Remollo during the ocular visit.
