City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla led a team this afternoon in awarding Safety Seal certificates to 5 establishments for implementing the minimum public health standards against COVID-19.
The latest 5 establishments awarded with the Safety Seal certificates are Good Year Autocare, Foundation University College of Nursing, Mang Inasal-Robinson, Tip Top Hotel and Cuckoo Family Restaurant in recognition for their compliance to measure in minimizing the spread of COVID-19.
In accordance with DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2021-053, Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo created the City Inspection and Certificate Committee Executive Order No. 9 to inspect the private and public establishments, to issue and or revoke the Safety Seal.
To be granted the Safety Seal, business establishments are required to provide thermal scanners, utilize QR Codes for StaySafe.ph, designate isolation area for identified symptomatic employees, ensure that hotlines for BHERTs and other COVID-19 emergency hotlines are displayed in conspicuous area, provide handwashing stations with soap, sanitizers and hand drying equipment, install physical barriers, assign personnel-in-charge for monitoring and maintaining of social distancing, availability of windows for adequate air exchange, compliance to the disinfection protocol, conduct of regular cleaning and disinfection of establishment, constant wearing of face masks, presence of designated safety officer and storage facility for proper collection of infectious
Business establishments with Safety Seal Certifications are allowed an additional 10% in operational or seating capacity.
