Twenty-three [23] COVID-19 patients have already recovered and will be released from isolation but 7 new cases were confirmed today by the City Health Office.
The number of active COVID-19 cases dropped to 59 with 5, 474 recoveries and 156 deaths since the pandemic affected Dumaguete City from January 30, 2020 to February 10, 2022.
Among the patients who have recovered are 4 senior citizens (a 93-year-old being the oldest) and children (a 5-month-old baby being the youngest) and 5 health workers.
The most number of recoveries are residents of Barangays Taclobo [5] and Daro [4] including others from Barangays Batinguel [3], Cadawinonan [3], Bagacay [1], Bajumpandan [1], Cantil-e [1], Mangnao [1], Piapi [1], Poblacion 4 [1], Tabuc-tubig [1] and Talay [1].
Meanwhile, the 7 new COVID-19 cases include 3 hospital workers, a 13-year-old child and 3 persons who exhibited symptoms of Influenza Like Illness.
Of the 59 active COVID cases, 39 are monitored and handled by the personnel of the City Health Office, 19 are admitted in the hospitals and 1 case outside of Dumaguete City.
