Thirty-five [35] COVID-19 patients have already recovered and released from isolation but 21 new cases were confirmed today by the City Health Office.
Thus the number of active COVID-19 cases dropped to 74 with 5, 422 recoveries and 156 deaths since the pandemic affected Dumaguete City from January 30, 2020 to February 8, 2022.
Among the 21 new COVID-19 cases are 4 health workers, 4 children, 3 senior citizens, a bank employee and 9 other persons with symptoms of Influenza Like Illness.
The most number of recoveries are residents from Barangays Camanjac [9] while the others are from Barangays Daro [5], Pulantubig [5], Looc [2], Cantil-e [2], Talay [1], Bagacay [1], Banilad [1], Cadawinonan [1], Junob [1], Mangnao [1], Motong [1], Piapi [1] and Tabuc-tubig [1],
Of the 74 active COVID cases, 49 are monitored and handled by the personnel of the City Health Office while 25 are admitted in the hospitals.
