Seven [7] health workers and 7 children are among the 51 patients who recovered from COVID-19 but with 36 newly confirmed cases based on the latest release of swab test results Thursday.
The patients, who have recently recovered from COVID-19, include an 88-year-old grandmother, a 2-year-old child and other residents of barangays Bagacay [4], Bajumpandan [2], Banilad [1], Batinguel [7], Cadawinonan [1], Candau-ay [6], Cantil-e [1], Daro [9], Junob [2], Looc [2], Motong [3], Piapi [2], Poblacion 1 [1], Tabuctubig [1], and Taclobo [6].
There are 111 active COVID-19 cases with 5, 273 recoveries and 154 deaths (less 1 fatality as it was registered twice) since the pandemic affected Dumaguete City from January 30, 2020 to the present February 3, 2022.
However, 36 individuals, who are the latest confirmed COVID-19 cases reported by the City Health Office, are residents of Barangays Bagacay [1], Bajumpandan [1], Banilad [4], Batinguel [1], Buñao [5], Camanjac [3], Candau-ay [1], Cantil-e [1], Daro [3], Junob [2], Mangnao [1], Piapi [2], Poblacion 7 [1], Poblacion 8 [1], Pulantubig [1], Taclobo [5] and Talay [3].
Of the 111 active COVID-19 patients, 75 are monitored and handled by the personnel of the City Health Office while 36 are confined in the hospitals.
