The City Health Office confirms 36 new COVID-19 cases, including 8 senior citizens and 5 children, even as 23 patients infected with the virus have recovered and will be released from isolation.
Hence, there are now 128 active COVID-19 cases with 5,171 recoveries and 155 deaths from January 30, 2020 and February 1, 2022.
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla said that the 36 new COVID-19 cases are residents of Barangays Bagacay [5], Banilad [2], Bantayan [3], Batinguel [3], Cadawinonan [3], Camanjac [1], Cantil-e [1], Daro [1], Junob [2], Looc [4], Mangnao [1], Motong [1], Piapi [4], Poblacion 5 [2], Tabuctubig [1] and Taclobo [2].
Meanwhile, the 23 patients who have recovered from COVID-19 are residents of Barangays Banilad [1], Bantayan [2], Batinguel [1], Daro [4], Candau-ay [1], Junob [2], Motong [1], Piapi [4], Pulantubig [5], Tabuctubig [1] and Taclobo [1].
Of the 128 active COVID cases: 97 cases are monitored and handled by the personnel of the City Health Office; 9 are confined at Silliman University Medical Center; 8 are admitted at Holy Child Hospital; 2 are confined at ACE Doctors; 3 are confined at Negros Polymedic Hospital and 9 are admitted at NOPH.
