Three (3) residents were given recognition today for bringing pride and honor to Dumaguete City and its people by winning the Gold for Mobile Robotics category and Floristry during the Philippine National Skills Competition held in Taguig City last December 13-16, 2021.
The trained delegates from the Metro Dumaguete College composed of Dreamerson Garay and Camia Faye Duran (TESDA Diploma Scholars in Software Engineering Technology and Jerson D. Villares (TESDA Diploma Scholar in Tourism Technology) were presented with the resolution of commendation and due recognition through a resolution by the Sanggunian Panlungsod signed by Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Vice-Mayor Karissa Faye Tolentino-Maxino and members of the SP.
Both Garay and Duran, coached by Kenn Mark Drilon, won the gold medal for Mobile Robotics and Jerson D. Villares, coached by Bobie Tinaya, bagged the gold medal for Floristry are expected to compete in the upcoming World Skills Competition in Shanghai, China on October 2022.
The SP resolution was sponsored by Vice-Mayor Karissa Faye Tolentino-Maxino, Councilors Michael M. Bandal, Edgar P. Lentorio Jr., Lilani L. Ramon, Manuel C. Patrimonio and Dionie D. Amores.
