The number of active COVID-19 cases dropped to 102 after the City Health Office reported 41 recoveries but with 12 new cases today.
Five (5) hospital workers, 3 senior citizens, an engineer and 7 other persons with symptoms of Influenza Like Illness are among the 16 new COVID-19 cases confirmed today.
The new COVID-19 cases are residents of Barangay Bagacay [1], Banilad [1], Bantayan [1], Batinguel [2], Candau-ay [1], Daro [2], Junob [3], Piapi [1], Poblacion 5 [1], Poblacion 7 [2] and Pulantubig [1].
There are now 102 active COVID-19 cases with 4, 769 recoveries and 152 deaths since Dumaguete City was affected by the pandemic from January 30, 2020 to January 25, 2022.
Meanwhile, the 41 newly recovered COVID-19 patients are residents of Barangays Bagacay [3], Balugo [1], Banilad [2], Batinguel [3], Buñao [1], Calindagan [3], Camanjac [2], Candau-ay [2], Cantil-e [2], Daro [6], Junob [1], Looc [4], Mangnao [2], Piapi [1], Poblacion [1], Poblacion 7 [1] and Taclobo [6].
Of the 102 active COVID cases: 69 are monitored and handled by the personnel of the City Health Office; 11 are confined at Silliman University Medical Center; 10 is admitted at Holy Child Hospital; 3 are confined at ACE Doctors; 7 are admitted at NOPH, 1 is confined at Negros Polymedic Hospital and 2 other cases are still outside of Dumaguete City.
