City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City IATF MEID, that 78, 074 eligible residents or 81.2% of the target eligible population of 96, 049 residents (per DILG/DOH estimate) in Dumaguete City have already received at least 1 dose of COVID-19 jabs as of January 20, 2022.
Meanwhile, 4, 919 residents, mostly senior citizens and persons with comorbidities have also received Pfizer or Moderna booster shots.
Among the vaccinated residents are the 76, 275 who got their 1st dose and the 1, 799 who were vaccinated using the single dose Janssen jabs for a total of 78, 074 residents.
Four hundred nine (409) eligible residents were vaccinated last Thursday in the 3 vaccination sites at Robinson Mall, FU Gymnasium and Pulantubig Gymnasium.
Of the 78, 074 eligible residents vaccinated with 155, 414 total doses: 2, 786 are medical frontliners or (A1); 8, 669 senior citizens (A2); 9, 269 persons with comorbidities (A3); 18, 455 frontline personnel (A4); 24, 481 indigents (A5), 9, 809 belonging to the Rest of the Adult Population and 4, 605 Pediatric (12-17 years old) were vaccinated based on the order of priority of the Department of Health.
