The number of active COVID-19 cases dropped to 78 after the City Health Office reported 38 recoveries, 12 new cases and 1 death Tuesday.
Three senior citizens, a lawyer, an architect, a 2-year-old-child, an engineer and 4 other persons with symptoms of Influenza Like Illness are among the 12 new COVID-19 cases confirmed today.
An 80-year-old senior citizen, who was COVID-19 positive, died in the hospital.
Hence, there are now 78 active COVID-19 cases with 4, 525 recoveries and 150 deaths since Dumaguete City was affected by the pandemic from January 30, 2020 to January 18, 2022.
Meanwhile, a 2-year-old child, 4 senior citizens and a pregnant woman are among the 38 COVID-19 patients who recovered today.
Of the 78 active COVID cases: 64 are monitored and handled by the personnel of the City Health Office; 8 are confined at Silliman University Medical Center; 1 is admitted at Holy Child Hospital; 1 is confined at ACE Doctors; 2 are admitted at NOPH and 2 other cases are still outside of Dumaguete City.
