City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City IATF MEID, that 74, 584 eligible residents or 77.6% of the target eligible population of 96, 049 residents (per DILG/DOH estimate) in Dumaguete City have already received at least 1 dose of COVID-19 jabs as of January 8, 2022.
Among the vaccinated residents include 72, 785 who got the 1st dose and the 1, 799 who were vaccinated using the single dose Janssen jabs for a total of 74, 584 residents.
Four hundred thirty-six (436) eligible residents were vaccinated last Saturday in the 3 vaccination sites at Robinson Mall, FU Gymnasium and Pulantubig Gymnasium.
Of the 74, 584 eligible residents vaccinated with 147, 182 total doses: 2, 782 are medical frontliners or (A1); 8, 495 senior citizens (A2); 9, 252 persons with comorbidities (A3); 18, 244 frontline personnel (A4); 24, 317 indigents (A5), 8,899 belonging to the Rest of the Adult Population and 2, 595Pediatric (12-17 years old) were vaccinated based on the order of priority of the Department of Health.
