The City Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases reported no new COVID-19 positive cases or recoveries today.
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla also informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City IATF-MEID that the 5 active COVID patients are all unvaccinated.
Thus, the number of active COVID-19 cases remains at 5, still the lowest in several months, with 4, 460 recoveries and 148 deaths as of January 3, 2022.
Twenty-four (24) of the 30 component barangays report zero active cases to include: Bagacay, Bajumpandan, Balugo, Banilad, Bantayan, Batinguel, Buñao, Calindagan, Camanjac, Candau-ay, Cantil-e, Daro, Junob, Looc, Mangnao, Piapi, Poblacion 1, Poblacion 2, Poblacion 3, Poblacion 4, Poblacion 5, Poblacion 6, Poblacion 7, Poblacion 8, Pulantubig and Tabuctubig.
The remaining barangays with active COVID-19 cases are Cadawinonan [1], Motong [1], Taclobo [2] and Talay [1].
