City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla informed Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, Chairperson of the City IATF MEID, that 74, 056 eligible residents or 77.1% of the target eligible population of 96, 049 residents per DILG/DOH estimate, in Dumaguete City have already received at least 1 dose of COVID-19 vaccine as of December 28, 2021.
Among the vaccinated residents: 72, 257 got the 1st dose and the 1, 799 who were vaccinated using the single dose Janssen jabs for a total of 74, 056 residents.
About 256 medical frontliners and persons with comorbidities have already received their booster shots against COVID-19.
Six hundred fourteen (614) eligible residents were vaccinated last Tuesday in the 3 vaccination sites at Robinson Mall, FU Gymnasium and Pulantubig Gymnasium.
Of the 74, 056 eligible residents vaccinated with 139, 835 total doses: 2, 781 are medical frontliners or (A1); 8, 444 are senior citizens (A2); 9, 247 persons with comorbidities (A3); 18, 171 frontline personnel (A4); 24, 241 indigents (A5), 8, 577 belonging to the Rest of the Adult Population and 2, 595 Pediatric (12-17 years old) were vaccinated based on the order of priority of the Department of Health.
