Personnel of the Dumaguete City PNP under the supervision of Chief-of-Police Lt. Col. Joeson Parallag teamed up with several advocacy groups to provide comfort and relief to the victims of Typhoon Odette in northern Negros Oriental on December 24, 25 and 26, 2021.
The devastation caused by Typhoon Odette motivated the Dumaguete PNP to coordinate with its partner advocacy groups to gather and distribute used clothes, blankets, towels, bags and water to identified families affected by the disaster in accordance with ‘BARANGAYanihan,” one of the station’s best practices.
Among the advocacy groups that contributed relief goods to the typhoon victims were the elected officials of Barangay Mangnao headed by Hon. Ramil Tayko, Metro Dumaguete Water, Maayo Shipping and James Cargo.
