Hundreds of families have already been sheltered in the various evacuation centers in compliance to the instruction of Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo and Punong Barangays to conduct preemptive evacuation to ensure their safety from the impact of Typhoon Odette.
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah B. Talla, City Social Welfare and Development Officer Lilibeth Filipinas, City Adviser for Concerns on Security, Emergency Preparedness, Management and Response Retired Police Brigadier General Rey Lyndon Toledo Lawas and City Chief-of-Police Lt. Col. Joeson Parallag inspected the preparations, conduct of the evacuation and situation of evacuees.
Families at risk in Poblacion 1 (Tinago), Junob, Mangnao, Candau-ay, Tabuc-tubig, Calindagan, Cadawinonan, Bagacay, Banilad and Poblacion 8 were already evacuated in the various schools.
